Regulatory Scientist - Ecotoxicology (f/m/d)

YOUR TASKS
  • Setting up registration strategies considering non-testing and testing approaches for environmental properties
  • Monitoring of ecotoxicological studies
  • Assessing the complete ecotoxicological hazard profile of a substance including derivation of the respective reference values for the environment (PNECs) as well as classification and labelling according to CLP
  • Making a contribution to risk assessment
  • Providing fit for purpose regulatory science solutions for demanding situations, e.g. expert statements, position papers and authority commenting
  •  Acting as scientific discussion partner and mentoring of colleagues Communicating and co-operating with clients, knoell stakeholders and relevant authorities
YOUR PROFILE
  • University degree in biology, or environmental science or equivalent; PhD degree would be a benefit
  • Working experience in Regulatory Ecotoxicology related to EU REACH or EU BPR of at least 3 years
  • Advanced knowledge of ecotoxicological hazard and risk assessment principles in accordance with relevant regulations, and guidances and / or models
  • Working knowledge of scientific approaches and methodologies including in study monitoring
  • Ability to convey complex scientific ideas in succinct way
  • Routined IUCLID user
  • Routine knowledge in working with MS-Word, MS-Powerpoint, MS-Outlook
  • Excellent language skills in English (spoken and written)
  •  Strongly motivated, self-starter with excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a global team
