YOUR ROLE- Setting up as well as review of existing registration strategies including development of alternative approaches for environmental properties in accordance with EU REACH.
- Assessing the complete ecotoxicological hazard profile of substances including derivation of the respective reference values for the environment (PNECs), PBT/PMT assessment as well as classification and labeling according to CLP.
- Providing fit for purpose regulatory science solutions for demanding and complex situations, e.g., expert statements, commenting on authority requests and position papers.
- Acting as scientific discussion partner and guiding / mentoring of junior colleagues.
- Communicating and co-operating with clients, knoell stakeholders and relevant authorities.
- Education and training: University degree in ecotoxicology, biology, or environmental science or equivalent; PhD degree would be a benefit
- Working experience in Regulatory Ecotoxicology of atleast 6 years, preferably in EU REACH context
- Advanced knowledge of ecotoxicological hazard and risk assessment principles in accordance with relevant regulations, and guidance and / or models; experience in study monitoring would be an asset
- Ability to provide strategic advice and to develop complex scientific approaches
- Advanced working knowledge of scientific approaches and methodologies
- Routine IUCLID user
- Routine knowledge in working with MS-Office
- Excellent language skills in English (spoken and written)
